You don’t want to overdo it.

Hey friend

Have you been trying to exercise and still workout like you used to before experiencing adrenal fatigue, burnout or CFS. I know the feeling – I tried running on the treadmill every day still when I was recovering. However, you must know that ensuring you are restoring energy before spending energy is essential for a full recovery. You want to get better right?

I remember how frustrated I was that I couldn’t do all the things that I used to and my yoga teacher kept telling me that slow and steady and calm would win the race. But my A Type personality found it so hard to let go of my exercise routine and my dear little ego was afraid that I’d blow up like a big balloon and put on 20kg overnight.

What I know now however is that less is more (this is so important even my podcast is called 10 degree shift – do less, be more), and consistency over intensity is the key for long term sustainable wellbeing!

Before you even think about exercising, you must focus on getting your foundations established right.

Knowing what you can do without feeling worse and obviously avoiding the push crash cycle as much as possible.

In my online recovery program, I teach people exactly what they should and shouldn't do on a detailed level. The amazing part is that it does not matter where you are at in your recovery.

I have seen people who were house bound for 10 years improve gradually over time by doing the "RIGHT THINGS."

I have also seen full time workers with less severe symptoms become healthy and stronger than before.

The main aim is to improve from where you are at right now even 1 - 5% at a time.

It is the only way to do this safely and avoid many downfalls.

Does this resonate with you at all? Let me know if it gave you some insights, would love to connect and see how I can further help.

Don't forget to join our Free 10 Degree Shift FB Group where we give you up to date info on all things health and wellbeing and recovering from a toxic workplace or a chronic illness as well as yummy healthy recipes. Click here to join!

Take care,

AJ
